What is a Body Lift?
If you have started noticing areas of your body that have loose skin, especially around your hips, abdomen, thighs and buttocks. What can you do about it? With a Body Lift you will see improvement in the contours of your abdomen, buttocks and outer thighs.
A Body Lift procedure involves combining an abdominoplasty with removing the excess tissue from the side of your abdomen and hips all the way around to the middle of your back. This incision is used to decrease the size of your buttocks and hips with liposuction.
Here the skin and fat of your buttocks and hip areas are also separated from the muscle. Where it is lifted and placed into its new position.

You may have a few questions at this point, like:
How long will the Body Lift procedure take and what is the recovery time?
As the Body Lift combines a few procedures into one it may take 6 – 8 hours of surgery. You may need to stay between 5 – 7 days in hospital. The recovery may take between 6 – 8 weeks.
When will I see results?
It may take a few months before you see the full results of the procedure. What you will find is that your abdomen has become flatter, your waist and hips have definite slimmer outline, and no more back rolls, with your buttocks looking firmer in shape.
How will I look and feel?
One word. Fabulous. Maybe two words, fabulous and amazing. The results will be dramatic.
How does a buttock lift help?
Buttocks are another area that can suffer the aftereffects of large weightloss. The upper buttock rea will flatten, while the lower butt sags and creases up on skin folds. This creates issues not only with appearance ( saggy bottom looks like an old bottom) but also with keeping the area clean and irritation free. The buttocks can be reshaped both by lifting the stretched, descended skin and by removing the bunched up skin in the bottom, where it folds over the upper thigh. Sometimes, if combined with fat grafts, a nicely rounded effect can be achieved.
Where are the incisions for a buttock lift?
At the top of the buttock, just under the hip bone curve. The lower incisions, if needed are hidden in the buttock crease.
How big is the operation and downtime?
The operation usually takes around 90-150 minutes and can usually be performed in a day surgery
