To have long term success with a healthy eating lifestyle, you need to have several factors in place. Of course number one is the right food. It’s important to eat food that supports your body. When you are properly nourished you will feel energized, motivated, and be free from cravings.
However we have found that having success goes beyond just knowing what to eat. It all boils down to proper planning and your environment. Consider this: “Failure to plan is planning to fail” (Alan Lakein). Research shows that planning is absolutely key to success, no matter your goals. When it comes to maintaining healthy eating habits, lack of planning often resorts in going off track and eating foods that may be convenient but not healthy. In addition, many of the convenience foods are manufactured to create a desire for more, which can set you even farther off track.
When it comes to your environment, we are certainly aware that there are some elements beyond your control. However, there are many ways to create an environment so that maintaining success is much easier. Let’s use your kitchen as an example.
